Terms of Service

Welcome to LingoFly. By downloading, registering, or using the LingoFly app, website, or related services ("Services"), you enter into this agreement with the LingoFly team ("we," "us"). Please read it carefully. If you don't agree with any part, please stop using the Services.

1. Acceptance

By using the Services, you confirm you've read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Users under 18 should use the Services with guidance from a parent or guardian. We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you at least 15 days in advance, in-app or by email.

2. The Service

LingoFly is a short-video-based English-learning app. We provide videos, AI subtitles, pronunciation feedback, and learning analytics. Some content (videos, subtitle source text) is licensed from third-party rights holders under valid agreements. We reserve the right to adjust, pause, or discontinue features at any time, but we'll do our best to give you notice.

3. Your Account

You must register with a valid phone number or email. You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity under your account. One phone number / one email = one account. If your account is compromised, email contact@glosightai.com immediately to freeze it. We may restrict, suspend, or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

While using the Services, you must not: Upload or distribute illegal, violent, sexual, harassing, discriminatory, or false content; use bots, scrapers, or automation to scrape or abuse the Services; reverse-engineer, crack, repackage, or redistribute the app; bypass paid features, share accounts, or manipulate practice feedback; impersonate others or falsely claim to represent LingoFly; interfere with our servers or attempt to access unauthorized data.

5. Intellectual Property

The LingoFly app, website, brand, logo, UI, and original copy are owned by the LingoFly team. Video content is owned by the respective rights holders; we hold valid usage licenses. Original content you post in comments / community belongs to you, but you grant LingoFly a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to display, promote, and improve the Services with it. Don't copy, repost, or commercialize LingoFly content without our written permission.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, to the extent necessary to provide and improve the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, copy, modify, adapt, distribute, and display the User Content. We may (but are not obligated to) review, remove, or block User Content that violates these Terms.

7. Disclaimer

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties — express or implied — regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, stability, accuracy, timeliness, or availability. Learning outcomes vary by individual and depend on your effort, baseline level, and other factors.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising from your use or inability to use the Services. Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you actually paid LingoFly in the 12 months prior (if any).

9. Termination

You may delete your account anytime from within the app. This is irreversible. We may terminate your access without prior notice if you seriously breach these Terms. After termination, the sections on IP, disclaimer, liability limits, and dispute resolution survive.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-laws rules). Disputes arising from these Terms or the Services should first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If that fails, they'll be brought before the Chaoyang District People's Court in Shenzhen. If you use the Services outside mainland China, mandatory local consumer-protection laws may also apply.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time for business, technical, legal, or operational reasons. Revised Terms will be published with a new "Effective Date" and "Version" via in-app notice, email, or website announcement. Material changes will be announced at least 7 days in advance.
